Veggie Grill

If you are looking for a fast-casual restaurant with vegetarian-friendly options, look no further than Veggie Grill. Their menu features a variety of items, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, and bowls. There are several options for burgers and sandwiches,  such as the Santa Fe Chick’n sandwich, double BBQ mac burger, and the house veggie burger. If you want something lighter, like a salad, they have many options for that as well. Overall, Veggie Grill is 100% plant-based and affordable. Capital Dim Sum

Established in 1995, Habana has become a popular Irvine Spectrum restaurant. They offer authentic Cuban cuisine with both meat and vegetarian options. Here are some of their vegetarian options: 

  • Cuban chopped salad (served only during lunch hours)
  •  Soyripan vegetarian sandwich made of a sweet bread roll consisting of soyrizo, swiss cheese, onions, tomato, and mustard 
  • Corn empanadas are stuffed with a cheesy roasted corn picadillo and mango slaw mixed with banana-habanero ketchup.
  • If you want a larger plate, you can get a baked polenta called the “tamal en cazuela” served with salad.

Silverlake Ramen

Originating in Los Angeles, this Irvine Spectrum restaurant has some of the vegetarian-friendly options:

  • Veggie ramen consists of a vegetable broth with a miso base mixed with vegetables, mixed greens, fried broccolini, and avocado. 
  • House salad consists of kale, mixed greens, corn, and pickled onions and is topped with a special onion dressing.
  • Impossible bun is a panko fried impossible plant meat topped with shredded cabbage, hot mustard, and katsu sauce
  • “Three Kinds of Mushroom with Butter” is a dish on the menu that consists of sauteed eryngii, shiitake, and button mushrooms slathered with butter and served with mixed greens but can also pair well with rice
  • Mabo tofu bowl is a mix of tofu and impossible meat drenched in a spicy black bean sauce that is layered over rice and green onions. 

Yard House

This restaurant is a perfect balance of upscale meets casual. Class rock music plays in the background and they have about two hundred taps of imported craft beer. Yard House has a great atmosphere for happy hour with friends or just gathering with family for dinner. Here are some of their vegetarian-friendly options: 

  • Shiitake and crimini mushrooms lettuce wrap
  •  Onion ring tower
  • Wisconsin fried cheese curds
  • Organic tomato bisque
  • Shiitake garlic noodles
  • Red quinoa salad bowl
  • Margherita as well as four cheese pizzas.
